Quantum Correlations in Systems of Indistinguishable Particles
We discuss quantum correlations in systems of indistinguishable particles in relation to entanglement in composite quantum systems consisting of well separated subsystems. Our studies are motivated by recent experiments and theoretical investigations on quantum dots and neutral atoms in microtraps as tools for quantum information processing. We present analogies between distinguishable particle...
متن کاملStatistics of indistinguishable particles.
The wave function of a system containing identical particles takes into account the relationship between a particle's intrinsic spin and its statistical property. Specifically, the exchange of two identical particles having odd-half-integer spin results in the wave function changing sign, whereas the exchange of two identical particles having integer spin is accompanied by no such sign change. ...
متن کاملRobust light transport in non-Hermitian photonic lattices
Combating the effects of disorder on light transport in micro- and nano-integrated photonic devices is of major importance from both fundamental and applied viewpoints. In ordinary waveguides, imperfections and disorder cause unwanted back-reflections, which hinder large-scale optical integration. Topological photonic structures, a new class of optical systems inspired by quantum Hall effect an...
متن کاملLarge scale correlations in normal non-Hermitian matrix ensembles
We compute the large scale (macroscopic) correlations in ensembles of normal random matrices with a general non-Gaussian measure and in ensembles of general non-Hermition matrices with a class of non-Gaussian measures. In both cases the eigenvalues are complex and in the large N limit they occupy a domain in the complex plane. For the case when the support of eigenvalues is a connected compact ...
متن کاملCorrelations of eigenvectors for non-Hermitian random-matrix models.
We establish a general relation between the diagonal correlator of eigenvectors and the spectral Green's function for non-Hermitian random-matrix models in the large-N limit. We apply this result to a number of non-Hermitian random-matrix models and show that the outcome is in good agreement with numerical results.
